You are often exaggerated and over-the-top in your speech and expressions. You are a romantic at heart and a natural leader.

Today I have finally accepted the inevitable, and canceled my Planetside subscription. I haven't played the damn game in 4 or 5 months so it's probably for the best but it's still left me feeling surprisingly sad. In more up beat news, on the 28th of February I shall have been on this earth for 30 whole years (plus the 9 months which we always ignore). As such there will be parties aplenty. The current plan is: Sat 24th Feb: Console game party, my house, beer etc... probably from around 1pm till the last of us passes out. Wed 28th Feb: Me and my missus go for a nice meal etc.. (included here only for completeness). Sat 3rd Mar: I believe this is Hannah's actual birthday and so have conceded to her plan of food (Red Chilli I think) then Rock of Ages. Sat 10th Mar: Generic party, for those who don't like all day console sessions (weirdos!) and parents (in my case, also weirdos). OK that's the plan. Shout out if there's any real big problems there. I didn't intend to use this to canvas likely attendees when I started writing this but what the hell, if you want to attend any or all (except the 28th) reply here. Not essential but at least I get an idea this way. Maybe more details will follow, maybe they won't, I'm random like that.Current Mood: weird Current Music: the printer whirring away happily

» PC fixage.
Tonight I shall finally pluck up the courage (I hope) to attempt to fix my PCs current problem. When I upgraded to SP2 (my 1st mistake) Zone Alarm declared war on it, and ever since neither have worked. I can't uninstall ZA cos it thinks it's still running, and ZA keeps taking my internet access off me "for my own protection". I have been lead to believe that the solution is to pull the hard drive, attach it to my other (V. old) PC, and then manually remove ZA from the program files directory. Then to return the hard drive to it's rightful place, boot my PC and let windows sort itself out. Does anyone have any further knowledge/hints/help/warnings etc.. they wish to impart before I try the old "do it and see if it explodes" technique. One day, someone will build a computer that works perfectly, and on that day machines will take over the world.

» The Human Torch I ain't
I may regret posting this but.. This Friday see the airing of the footage of me shot in Jimmys A&E on new years eve after setting fire to my face. It's on Discovery Home & Health, I think at 9.30. The program is called Critical Condition. This is the information the people who filmed it have sent me, however it could be wrong as radiotimes.com thinks the only episode on on Friday is on at 8.30. We will be watching it (on our new TV) at our house with some friends, anyone else who wishes to come and mock me may also do so, just come round for before it starts (8.00ish??). Well that's my post for the next few months I imagine.

Is it just me that thinks this is one of the fastest ways possible to make your PC really un-secure?

Although as PBste pointed out recently, many people already provide this service in the UK by having non-secure wireless networks in their homes.

I know I don't post here very often, and I know that the title sounds like it's a precursor to a joke but this sucks http://forums.palladium-megaverse.com/viewtopic.php?t=57048
I haven't ever played rifts but I've heard things like it's good. Just goes to show that no industry is safe from @ssholes.

» Final Plans for B'day Fun
A quick update to say I've pretty much sorted this saturday. Start between 2pm and 3pm and keep going, that's it. Oh and we'll have some food about 7pm or 8pm as well. Thus to aid knowing how much food to cook can folks let me know if they are yes, no, or maybe. Hopefully some real old skool SF2 and Super Smash TV action on the SNES at some point, probably after some alcohol but not too much as we reminded ourselves how stupidly hard SSTV is recently.
Oh and if folks want to turn up later then your welcome to as I know an afternoon start is sometimes not a good idea.
Well enough rambling, my student should be here any time now :(.
